Job Description

All teachers teach a 40-hour workweek consisting of a standard 25 teaching hours, with the remaining hours spent on office responsibilities. Office responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing prospective students, recommending texts, counseling students, completing progress reports, and greeting students in the lobby.
All teachers need to maintain a professional attitude and appearance, show enthusiasm and creativity in all lessons, actively participate in all meetings, show flexibility, and a continued drive to improve.

• Monthly starting salary of 290,000 Japanese yen
• One week or more of paid training in Japan
• 5 personal days per year
• Japanese national holidays off and 3 weeks vacation
• Single occupancy apartment furnished to Japanese standards w/55,000 Japanese yen subsidized monthly rent
• Health and Pension Insurance coverage through the Japanese Social Insurance System
• Bonus provided upon completion of final contract

Teachers are required to possess an accredited Bachelor’s degree in any subject combined with a strong understanding and native command of the English language. A genuine interest in the culture and people of Japan as well as in teaching and business is also necessary. Japanese language ability and English as a Foreign Language (EFL/ESL/TESOL/TEFL/CELTA) teaching experience are very helpful but not mandatory. We employ individuals ranging from recent graduates to trained professionals. Although most of our foreign teachers are native English speakers, we will consider highly qualified individuals who do not come from the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.     It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my resume in consideration for a position of English teacher. I have a master degree of business(International tourism and hospitality management) and earned a certification (test of English for international communication ; Toeic score: 815).

    I have studied in Griffith university, Goldcoast Australia for one year ,so I can adapt to different culture. I would like to experience Japanese culture. Currently I work as an English tutor in Taiwan and have been teaching for three years in cram school. As a highly compassionate and approachable teaching professional, I am confident in my ability to become a valuable member of your teaching staff.
